Broken Bus Driver Movement & Music Fair this Sunday in the Bernard Shaw

Apologies for the number of self-promotional posts re gigs & tings recently, rest assured this blog will not digress into a vehicle for bigging oneself up. I promise. Discotekken posts will be kept to one or two a month anyways...

Sooo, if you're in Dublin Town this Sunday drop into the Bernard Shaw in Portobello where myself [Louis Scully] & TR-One aka Broken Audio Movement will be spinning for 6 HOURS back to back as part of DEAF. It starts at 6pm & will run until midnight, and it's FREEEE.

TR-One need no introduction round these parts, they kindly did a guestmix for us back in April, and are due to release their latest 12" on Stereotonic Records in the near future, having gained international kudos over the last couple of years with releases on labels Nice & Nasty & Fine Art Recordings.

We'll be playing all sorts of slow stuff for the first couple of hours, like instrumental hip hop & reggae & tings like that, before bringing up the tempo & hopefully the vibe with it. I don't want to see anyone leave in anything but a sweaty delirious state, right?!

You can check out TR-Ones' set from POGO in April here & my 12 Live Podcast from May here.

This Sunday also sees the 3rd installment of the 12 Music Fair in the Shaw, full deets here.

Lastly, if you're not already aware, Dam-Funk is playing here in Dublin this Friday in the Twisted Pepper. All you need to know about Dam-Funk is that he plays Disco / Boogie / Electro Funk records, is from L.A. and has been releasing original material on Stones Throw Records for the last couple of years. This video of him at Deviation in London has reached legendary status among us disco nerds. This gig is SET TO GO DOWN IN HISTORY! Don't miss it!
